As the second wind farm of MAPNA Group, Aghkand wind farm was inaugurated by the Iranian President’s order and in the presence of Energy Minister and MAPNA Group CEO.
Aghkand wind farm, equipped with 20 wind turbines, each with 2.5 mw capacity, amounting 50 mw, is located in Aghkand area, Mianeh town, East Azerbaijan, was invested by MAPNA group. Nasb Niroo Co. was in charge of implementing the Aghkand wind farm project.
Working with 20 turbines of 2.5 mw capacity, the power plant located in Mianeh town is the largest wind farm in the country that 80% of the equipment has been provided, designed, and constructed by the existing capacity in Iran.
Aghkand power plant is an important and eco-friendly industrial project, as well as enjoying the subsidies dedicated to homegrown industries, purchasing electricity from this plant is a win-win situation.
Beforehand, Kahak wind farm located in Takestan was the first wind farm of MAPNA Group with the cooperation of Nasb Niroo Co. that was put into operation.
